So hi there guys! I am going to be writing all about my own Path of Exile character, “Jigguwlz”, who is my own build witch summoner. 🙂
I include a discussion on equipment, and later will add what gems/rewards I would select whilst levelling! I’ll be talk about general aspects I have enjoyed over the variety of summoners I have used.

In this build your shield will be:
Matua tupuna; 3S3L Vaal Summon skeletons – Minion Damage – Minion Speed
This combo for me is one of the most OP discoveries made, I mean with the +2 Level of minion gems, they will all be running Lvl.22 end game and pretty much obliterate everything! Do be wary it can cause people to lag out, and is one reason some people do not like to have a summoner in their team. (I mean rendering 40 minions is just simply too much…

As most of you probably don’t know; here is some information about Uphill creations:
We are a family founded “fair trading” guild with myself IGN Jigawatta//Ocaninja , and the 3 officers Mommett//Trueblue543, Incandy//silver11shine & Borusironborn//alexsamurai3. I ask at this point PLEASE do not private message/Whisper the Guild Officers unless you’re already talking to them via the guild thread! 🙂 {I ask also that you give people 5 or 10 minutes to respond before messaging again – especially the high level players could be out ‘mapping’ and could risk character death by replying!}

At the beginning it really started out with just ourselves along with two members trying to get to grasp with the immense in game economy and stock-market-esque trading system. Our intentions were simply to try and sell on some of our better equipment (tackling specifically Uniques) eventually saving for some equipment and to have a free availability of all currency types where we weren’t loosing value during trading. 

So now I feel I have come to grasp with this – I am more than happy to share what I can with you guys! Presently the market is being observed around trading these ratios: 40 fusing: 1 exalted, 33chaos: 1 exalted, 3 fuse : 2 chaos….. 
HENCE! Sell exalted // 32chaos* // 46 fusing’s… then trade 40 fuse to an exalted, remainder 6 fusing’s. Repeat 8 times for an exalted orb profit!  Also Exalted is now firm 1 : 1 on Divine! As expected. 1c : 1scour,/5chance/9chrom/1 vaal. 2c : 1 regret.

I would like to offer to everyone in the guild a Prick Check service! I know the average values of most uniques, so if you need to know please ask! If I am offline you can garner a rough idea from the website poe.xyz.is . Furthermore in my shop I aim to sell all items 25-40% under market value, my reasoning you ask? It gets item’s sold faster – inventory space is a big commodity in this game – it’s time efficient by a long shot, and the person receiving is also pleased. 🙂 If you are okay with this method – I offer any player with items valued over 10 chaos 8 slots in my inventory where by I could sell items for you in the Uphill Creations guild shop! (with a commission and price we can discuss in game – about 20%)

I pride myself in being able to offer almost every level 1 gem within the game [except the new expansion gems], visible in a well-ordered fashion inside the guild. Excluding the most common rare gems such as multistrike, spell echo, cast when damage taken, empower and so on… BUT, that does not mean I wouldn’t be able to help – if you ask me I can keep an eye whilst going about my trading business. If you wish to buy a gem check the value on our thread /964801, or if you’re new and the gem is in the “EXTRA” tabs you can have them for a minimal fee of whatever you can afford. 😀

At the moment, our guild also has 1 shared stash tab SHARING IS CARING ❤ where we encourage players to pool items into that they might not necesarilly use themselves, but the other players would be glad to see! [Lol just saying but feel free to invest 50 microtransaction points for a new shared guild stash tab *how much they cost! D:*] Furthermore, players in the guild love to help the others reach the end game mapping system which we are so passionate about! This means rushing through acts, killing bosses, locating items for your build – or maybe even just advising on items we have used in the past and or would want to… and of course merrily providing waypoints.

Plus there’s one big thing we are in the process of debating at the moment! Regards the new expansion Forsaken Masters, 7 Masters have been introduced to the game – each with their own crafting bench. Each master has a reputation level with you increasing from level 1 to level 8… The reputation with a master can only go down on the condition that you “DISMISS” them from your hideout – simply clearing all reputation from the current level [e.g from 6.678 lo level 6, or 5.137 to level 5]. When you reach level 3 with any given master you will be able to create a hideout with that master & he/she will allow you to invite one more master who’s reputation level is above 2. At level 6 with you hideout master, you can invite a 3rd master to join `your (slightly enlarged) base and upon reaching the final level 4 master goal inhabit your full-sized hideout.
———— To travel to your base, there is a small circle in the bottom right of the world map you click on. For a friends, you right click their picture anywhere in the social panel and you can “travel to their hideout”.————

HERE IS THE MAJOR BENEFIT FROM OUR GUILD I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO PARTAKE IN PLEASE..! ❤

When a master is in your base, you are able to complete a “daily” quest with them. This means you will get a free chunk of reputation each day for your master without having to find them – it also means your other 5 party members could get a potential chunk of rep too. The best thing we as a guild could do for each other is save our daily missions until the last thing we do before logging off & invite as many people as who will join to your party & base *BEFORE* speaking to the master – so they can all share your daily quest. We are currently discussing what would be the fastest way for us all to level up every master to level 8.

A final word on the Masters: once a master joins your hideout, you will recieve a CRAFTING bench off them allowing you to add certain properties to various types of your equipment. *When you dismiss them they may lose all reputation from their current level *BUT THIER CRAFTING BENCH REMAINS IN YOUR HIDEOUT!**** *We are still trying to find out if the bench levels up along with the master, even if the master isn’t present in your base?* So after levelling each master up to level 3 with a daily quest, dismiss them and take on a new master until you have all 7 crafting benches present in your hideout. 🙂

….. I hope somethings here have been of help to you, so i will end this post on a very important note to me and all members agreeing equally by remaining in the guild:

PARTICULARLY when mapping, if ANY player finds an item valued over 3 Exalted, either yourselves or me as the Guild leader on request will take the responsibility for selling the item for the best achievable price and the profits will be split as such: 30% to whomever picked up the item, the remaining 70% will be split equally between all players present in the party at the time DEAD OR ALIVE – and 5% to myself if I sell it. If you need “change” for an exalted to split profits equally please ask! {So the player finding the item will have more than 30%} If everyone present in a map agrees that the player who picked up the item can keep it – please decide the conditions for yourselves – as I recommend the above method to avoid any unfairness during play. I do not expect anyone to be disappointed if outside these suggestions or any spamming on the guild chat thread. Remember 3 exalted to one player could be the value of their whole build, whilst it may only be an item to others.

Current thoughts on the new character build! *Mana Pool/Reserved*

1st thoughts: Voideye unset ring gives me +5 level to the 40% mana reserved aura “Purity of elements”. Level 20 [+5] = +31% to all Ele Res’ // +51% Q20.

After that I NEED to run Haste [summoner…], and beneficial to be running Vitality. So far this would bust my mana to 120 % reserved so to bring that down I will be getting passive nodes totalling an extra 34% mana / 134% total mana pool to play around with. Now I would have a remainer of 14% mana.

However I would not be satisfied with only this much mana — so I will be hooking up a LVL20 Reduced mana to my haste and vitality. Effectively multiplying the 100% [60+40] by 71% = 71 % reserved. + 40% reserved from Purity of elements = total 111% / 134% mana reserved. = 23% remaining mana pool!
Total abilities gained = Haste LVL20; 9% increased movement speed, 16% increased attack speed, 16% cast speed, 40%  increased radius Q20; + 60% radius.
Vitality LVL20; 40% increased radius & 1.65% of life regenerated per second Q20; + 60% radius
Purity of Elements LVL25 *cap*; 31% increased elemental resistances & 45% increased radius Q20; 65% increased radius

2nd thoughts: Voideye unset ring gives me +5 level to the 60% mana reserved aura “Haste”.
134% Total mana.
134 – 60% = 74%. remaining mana.
[Vitaility + Purity of elements] 80% x 71% [reduced mana gem] =57% mana reserved.
74% previous remainder – 57% extra mana reserved = 17.2% remaining mana pool!
Total abilities gained = Haste LVL24 *cap* = 10% increased movement speed, 18% increased attack speed, 17% cast speed, 44%  increased radius + Q20 = 64% radius.
Vitality LVL20; 40% increased radius & 1.65% of life regenerated per second Q20; + 60% radius
Purity of Elements LVL20; 27% increased elemental resistances & 40% increased radius Q20; 60% increased radius

1st scenario against 2nd scenario  -5.8% mana pool +1%IMS +2%IAS +1%CS -4%ERs
Hence : I have decided to opt for an extra 5.8% larger mana pool & an extra 4% to my elemental resistances by having Purity of Elements in my Voideye Unset Ring. [ Loosing 1% increased movement speed, 2% increased attack speed, 1% cast speed ]

Death Note adaptation on the horizon

Wow, I absolutely loved the Death Note Anime series; it seems Gus Van Sant could be bringing it to the big screen.

A family founded guild beginning with myself, my brother father & grandad – our ideals based around a fair trading community inspired to help out all our fellow players.

 

Well then, most have you won’t have heard that I have a guild by this point, so I’ve decided it’s time for an awaited [re]unveiling of UPHILL CREATIONS! Up until now I haven’t disclosed this as I had a mildly bad experience the last time around with recruiting… Lets just say, an internal struggle seemed to erupt from only the best intentions & it’s taken some time to think up ways around you know!

 

Players started *expecting* the other guild members to provide maps for them, getting angry I was only online 3-5 nights a week, harrassing my dad for information, abusing me as a personal PC-er , ripping each other off [the most annoying amongst said issues, as this was the opposite of our guilds tag.] Bickering seemed to encapsulate the guild’s thread  – I want that unique! Your build isn’t right for this map! I needed that gem no fair! My lag isn’t fair because I can’t get any items! why can’t we run my map IWANTTORUNOTHERSMAPSTHISISN’TFAIR! I traded you a fair ratio give me one back! you ripped me off for this item! WHY DOES NO ONE EVER TRADE IN HERE WHATS THE POINT IN IT EVEN BEING A TRADING GUILD?! Yep. One massive oxymoron.

The very fabric of my guild seemed to disintergrate in 2 meagre weeks.
but NOT this time!

 

I’m planning for this place to be the community-crux.  I’ll be trying to post updates as much as I can, for instance with information like when I will be online and generally keeping track of the place. Once a week, there will be an informative article written by myself I advise giving a read… Hopefully I can help place the foundations for a fun & fair virtual space to bring the most Path of Exile has on offer to the select members I eagerly anticipate recruiting. 🙂

 

 

But anyway…
On to what our guild already has to offer 😛

 

We may only be 4 members strong but it’s proven enough to start forming our own economy. There is my father, mommett who struggles with typing – so he simply asks if he doesn’t reply give he 10 minutes as he may be mapping or AFK. My grandad, Salemsminion, who I consider almost consider like my fathers escort – albeit he never talks the pair are always in cohoots over skype acting in sync whilst mapping… Finally we have our one hit-crit build CHAOSKILLER! [Reputably the only remaining member from the previous round of recruits this man has proven to be lovely soul. Generally a light-hearted sharing caring fellow – just like myself he enjoys furthering players through story mode, assisting with bosses, locating items, conducting fair trades, farming, trying out new player’s build combinations on a variety of maps and sharing information where he can.]

 

We’ll be looking for players to keep this light-hearted guild chat thread we love alive!

WHO KNOWS?

When I woke up today, I was really inspired to write this ‘awesome’ post for my viewers. (who knows what about) But I guess tonight I’ll just settle for some random mumblings of a tired person? Yeah, why not! After all something is better than nothing.

I have learned some interesting things this past week… For a start did you know that water spins the opposite way around a hole (like water going down a sink drain) on the opposite sides of the equator? Way cool right. Also! If you were in a hot air balloon, it would feel as though there was no wind because you are going at the same speed as it! Pink lemonade is made with cranberries and lemonade (I always wanted to know this, why did I never read the ingredients list before?!) and chick peas make humous. Not to mention that I really don’t like fleas… Diatomaceous Earth seems to be a fantastic cure though!

Observations of the past week: Since going to the Manchester Comicon festival last sunday this whole week has seemed so… not as animated? But as such I have been playing my ocarina more [trying to be link] and learnt the wonderful the wonderfull Chrono Cross – Time’s Scar! I have been failing to check my emails too… I realised it’s probably the easiest thing I have to do which I never seem to make time for; Note to self: Blitz through all emails next week!

Path of Exile Major Trading tips. *Currency Exchange Ratios at bottom of post*

Hi all of Y’all! Wether you are a small time trader or big, I think I have some great tips for you on the present market of mayhem.

As a lot of the more serious players will know, poexchange.info, the main exchange rates of currency referencing has been taken down… However I can assure you all who don’t know there was a very legitimate reason for it’s removal; Illegally it was taking and STORING user information. 😦

Anyhow, this has caused quite some problems for me in the past two weeks as a big trader. The are only two more similar websites I know about.

The first is; poeex.info  … This website is way off mark on many of the exchange figures, but then what do you expect when trading currency for real money is illegal? This company are simply trying to monopolise on that fact – plus their website has not updated figures in a long time now. [atleast 5 months.]

The second is;  http://exilestats.com/ex/  …  However I notice two things immediately: The majority of important trade ratio’s aren’t even good ball-park figures – with the owner claiming a version “2.0” will be coming out. Albeit he has been saying this for at least 4 months now…Yeah – Right!

Furthermore this apparent “Voting system” to validate whether users agree with the proposed system is shtaka! Can you make a vote? No you cannot. For instance the last 50 votes claim a 1:1 ratio on Chaos orbs to Regret orbs is CORRECT?!? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?! In reality, (as of July 24th 2014) a far clearer ratio is 10:19, Chaos orbs: Regret orbs, double the claim.

So then – Time for my advice to you!! It is going to be considerably hard with the next expansion release in about a months time to make any claims of a stable in game market. But there are things I can tell you for sure : There will be new uniques – and quite a few of them! There are many crafters of various tiers who will be scrambling to 5 link & 6 Link these uniques etc. (Jewellers orbs, and Fusings required). They will also be trying to re-roll the implicit & explicit mods of said uniques. (Divine orbs).

Buyers, well the large majority are going to be needing many (Chromatic orbs) in order to get the correct coloured sockets to run their build! BUT WAIT- whats this?! OLD BUILDS WILL NO LONGER BE AS VIABLE?! D:

Yes I am afraid so. Whilst many of you are thrilled to hear there will be a complete passive skill tree points reset, it also comes with an abolishment of the whole top half of the tree plus some minor changes to the lower half. To translate this out of sad news for those of you comfortable with your current skill tree, you do have one advantage… It is more than likely you haven’t used any of your own orbs of regret! Great news, because all of the level 80+ players who are killing Atziri for fun will really be needing those (orbs of Regret) to re-do their own skill trees. It is likely this could take many attempts before they find a viable end game build, maybe even 100 Regrets per player? So yes, regret orbs have increased in value! Infact they have already nearly doubled, so I advise if you’ve got un-needed regret you hang on to  [haha the only time you’ll be told to keep regret] them for another 2-3 weeks or so and get out there trading at the peak of value. [Surely all players needing them will have bought them within the last week before the expansion.]

2nd to last we discuss (orbs of Scouring). These orbs actually have to uses, 1) to take an item back to normal standard, 2) to lower the level of a gem by one. For example if you accidentally clicked “LEVEL UP!” in excitement, without realising the stats became to high for you to equip.

It is not the second property here that has made their value raise to 1:1 Chaos:Scouring, it is this first (seemingly useless?) property. Think again about it – for crafting 5 & 6 Linkers with the potential profit involved many scouring could be used for an overall potentially fantastically reaped reward. It’s all in the roll!

Finally we discuss relation of alchemy:scouring:chaos. About one month ago this ratio was something along the lines of 2.5: 2 : 1. Now? More like 2:1:1. A considerable change. There are many effects of this, for instance it is no longer cheapest to re-craft items with alchemy & scouring as oppose to chaos orbs. People appear to be using chaos orbs in preference to alchemy & scouring for better rolls – however serious players know in the long run for a great item alchemy & scour is still the best route. So then, chaos orbs seem to be seriously LOOSING value. yes indeed.

3 to 6 weeks ago;  25 Chaos : 1 Exalted

2 to 3 weeks ago; 28 Chaos : 1 Exalted

the last two weeks ; A steady & consistent loss of value taking us to the present & persistent 31 to 33 Chaos: 1 Exalted.

My speculations on this depreciation? Well, honestly, I think chaos orbs were over valued!! All the currency in game isn’t becoming way more expensive as those of you who have hoarded chaos orbs for months may think… [albeit jew/fuse/chrom/scour/regret/DIVINE are] It is just that chaos orbs seem to be finding their natural place in the market now and have depreciated in comparison to other currency. Sorry guys! My advice is simple: Trade your chaos to regret at 19c :38 fuse & then from 40 fuse: 1 exalted…. you save 1/3rd compared to 33c: 1 Exalted!

 

Anyway; Sorry for the in depth LONG WINDED (dayung Emily you can talk for days :P) explanations there… Avoid pitfalls and such. 🙂 Here are the ratio’s I know as concrete on the market at the moment and many players are mistaking…

CHAOS : ?}
1 c : 2 or 2.5 Fuse.     1 c : 9 or 10 Chrom    1 c : 4 or 5 Chance    1 c : 1 scouring    1c : 1.87 Regret.

Oh and 50 Blacksmiths whetstones or 280 Scrolls of Wisdom to a chaos.

EXALTED: ?}

1Ex : 220 Chrom     1Ex : 40 Fuse    1Ex : 2 or ONE Divine ****I highly advise vouching on this if you want to make a profit of storing currency until the expansion release****  1 Ex: 31 to 33 Chaos.
